Summary

A scaffolded rectangular enclosure is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945 and 1946, with a possible concrete base for vehicle or a temporary structure is visible in its south-east corner. The enclosure was probably associated with military activity relating to the U.S. Army training centre, but its exact function is not known. It appears to have been removed before 1953, but remains of the base may survive.

A scaffolded rectangular enclosure, circa 90 by 22 metres, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945 and 1946. Two entrances are visible, one in the north and one in the south side, and a possible concrete base for vehicle or a temporary structure is visible in the south-east corner. The base appears to be overgrown but visible on aerial photographs until 1963, and some structural remains may survive within the car park. The structure is very likely to be associated with military activity relating to the U.S. Army training centre, although its exact function is not known, and taken down soon after the end of the war.
