A probable former field boundary bank, circa 2 metres wide, is visible as a pale linear cropmark on aerial photographs taken in 1979. It is perpendicular to a field boundary to the south that is depicted on the 1841 Tithe map, and which manifests in a similar way on the aerial photographs. It is therefore likely that the cropmark has formed over a post-medieval field boundary bank that that went out of use prior to the mid nineteenth century. It is not visible on other available aerial photographs, so this interpretation is tentative, but it is possible that below ground remains may survive.
