No sluice gate or weir is recorded in this location on the 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map although the Leat is depicted.

Sluice (Sl.) marked on 1904-1906 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, 30 metres above the bridge over the Colly Brook in Peter Tavy, at the head of the leat to Lower Mill. May indicate the presence of a weir at this point.
