Buildings shown on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map.

Howis Croxford, C. A., 1988, A Walkabout Guide to Throwleigh, 3 (Pamphlet). SDV361768.

The barns and farmyard of 'The Barton' which had become derelict and an eyesore, have been converted and built on, to form a cluster of dwellings using the old granite wallings. These include a bed and breakfast.

Whitley, G. H., 1993, Throwleigh Pound House, 11-12, Fig. 2, 10 (Report - non-specific). SDV350253.

Group of farm buildings comprising stables, threshing barn, shippons and bull pen recorded on 1840 Tithe Map. They were constructed of granite stone and cob with granite orthostats supporting tallets above the animal accommodation. There was a wheelhouse attached to the barn with a horse engine that operated a threshing machine. The engine was driven by two horses but was apparently capable of taking four. This was ruinous by the 1940s. The yard was cobbled with a sunken dung pit. The shippons were demolished in the 1970s.

Ordnance Survey, 2012, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV348725.

Modern mapping shows buildings in this location to have been converted/redeveloped.
