Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.
A linear earthwork bank, aligned north to south, up to 3 metres wide and 100 metres in length, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and on images derived from Lidar data captured in 2007. The bank fits into the extant medieval field pattern and is likely to be a relict field boundary of possible medieval origin. No boundary is depicted in this location on the 1839 Tithe map, suggesting that it had become degraded and fallen out of use prior to the mid nineteenth century, although below-ground remains are likely to survive.
