Full description

Mayes, A, 09/2012, Palfreys Barton, Tiverton (Report - Assessment). SDV350504.

Tiverton tithe apportionment (1839) records the field as 'Higher Coney Park' and 'Lower Coney Park'.
'Conigers' or rabbit warrens were deliberatley establised in sandy parts of estates and a good many of the names probably allude to these, though some may well refer to places to which the animal had spread without human aid.
