A possible fish trap is visible as an indistinct structure adjacent to East Yelland Marsh on aerial photographs taken in 1978. It is 3 metres wide with a visible length of circa 110 metres. No structure is marked on the late nineteenth century maps, but it could be an early fishweir of possible post-medieval or medieval date, and may be the same as the documented fishtrap at Lower Yelland mapped in 1832 and observed on a site visit in 2003. Structural remains are very likely to survive.
