Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

A linear bank is visible as an earthwork and cropmark, up to 4 metres in width and aligned approximately south-east to north-west, on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s. No field boundary is depicted in this location on the 1840 Tithe map, and it seems likely that the cropmark has formed over the remains of a medieval or post-medieval field boundary bank that went out of use prior to the mid nineteenth century. It is not visible on later available aerial photographs and may have been levelled by ploughing since the 1940s.
