Steinmetzer, M., 27/11/2012, Monitoring at Long Lane, Haccombe (Report - Watching Brief). SDV350703.

Watching brief during groundworks revealed 4 linear ditches. None of the ditches produced datable evidence, although in all cases they were truncating the subsoil, suggesting that they are relativley recent (i.e post-medieval). This is further suggested by the correlation of one of the ditches with a boundary shown on the 1840's tithe map. Therefore, the ditches are thought to be post-medieval in date.
