Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

The earthworks and cropmarks do not correspond with any features depicted on the map.

An interrupted ordered, rectilinear linear system, 'field' size on average 164m by 72m. Visible as earthwork and cropmark ditches and banks on aerial photographs, and interpreted as the remains of medieval or later field boundaries.

Three narrow curvilinear ditches and a bank up to 5 metres in width are transcribed, although no aerial photograph reference is attched to the spatial data. The bank is parallel to a ditch approximately 21 metres to the north-east and their layout is consistent with an interpretation as boundaries based on medieval strip fields. They are not depicted on the Tithe map so probably became disused by the mid nineteenth century.
