A bridge was built between cadhay and the town by the same john hayden who built the house.3 segmental arches of brick, brick parapet, rounded stone cutwaters and piers, brick above, forming refuges. The present bridge is thought to have been rebuilt about 1674 and again after the flood of 1824. Nmr.(doe).

John haydon built the previous bridge over the otter with an inscription to say so. Destroyed on repairing the bridge (rogers).
