The banks do not correspond to any depicted field boundaries.

An ordered, rectilinear linear system, 'field' size on average 150m by 60m. Visible as cropmark banks on aerial photographs and transcribed from aerial photographs taken in 1978. Interpreted as part of a relict field system of medieval or later date.

The banks are not depicted on the Tithe map suggesting that they predate the mid nineteenth century, but their straight alignment is consistent with post-medieval enclosure of large areas of former common or uncultivated land.
