Full description

Newman, P., 1999, 2002, Haytor Down, Ilsington, Devon (Revised), 4, Figure 2 (Report - Survey). SDV346395.

(30/03/1999) SX 7602 7659. A badly robbed out cairn sited 100m SE of the main Haytor car park. The cairn has an overall diameter of 19m and has small stones visible within the low bank which runs around the circumference. The bank stands to a maximum height of 0.4m. The centre of the cairn has been hollowed due to robbing, probably by road builders. The cairn is one of an alignment which runs approx. E to W between Emsworthy Rocks and Pinchaford Ball (see SX 77 NE 48;49;50). For plan see RCHME 1999.
