(01/08/1998) SX 53848295. An apparently undisturbed cairn lies adjacent to an abandoned leat channel in the S corner of Hamlyn's Newtake. The gorse covered feature measures 6.5m N to S by 6.3m and remains 0.8m high. Some stone protrudes through the vegetation covering the mound. There is no evidence to suggest the presence of a cist or kerb.
