A turf-covered mound of uncertain origin lies just off the crest of a broad ridge at SX55288457, some 510 metres above ordnance datum. It measures 6.4 metres by 6.1 metres and up to 0.4 metres high and lies in an area of peat cutting. Its origin and function are not obvious but it could be either a cairn of prehistoric origin or possibly a stone clearance cairn associated with the post medieval peat cutting.
