Full description
English Heritage, 2013, Intertidal and Coastal Peat Database: Devon, Record ID 660, ID 268 and ID 269 (Website). SDV350876.
Two samples from SX 66428 43574 and SX 66431 43630, behind the dune system, recorded in 2008. Wood and peat dominate in uppermost sediments. The peat layer rests on clay and silt, which is on top of fractured slates. Core BA-97-2 - the peat layer is capped by windblown fine sand from dunes.
