Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2013-2014, South Devon Coast Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV351146.

The remains of two roughly parallel north-south aligned field boundaries of possible medieval date are visible as earthwork ditches on LiDAR imagery dating to 1998-2008. The ditches are between 3-4m wide and separated by approximately 20m and generally respect the existing field pattern. The boundary ditches may form part of medieval land division which passed out of use by the time of the Chivelstone parish tithe map of between 1838-48. A third parallel boundary to the west is depicted on the tithe map but was removed by the time of the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 1880s-90s 25-inch map.
