Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The former field boundary is not depicted on the Chivelstone tithe map of between 1838-48.

The remains of a roughly north-south aligned former field boundary of possible medieval date is visible as an earthwork bank on LiDAR images dating to 1998-2008, southwest of East Prawle. The bank is approximately 7m wide and generally respects the existing field pattern based on medieval strip fields. The field boundary appears, however, to have passed out of use by the time of the Chivelstone parish tithe map of between 1838-48 and was not visible on aerial photographs made available to the survey.
