Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2013-2014, South Devon Coast Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV351146.

A former northwest-southeast aligned field boundary of potential medieval date and composed of two linear segments are visible as low earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946. The two earthworks are approximately 3.50m wide and are separated by a gap of approximately 20m, although likely once formed part of a continuous boundary. The earthworks respect the existing field boundary to the south and may form part of a medieval system of strip fields. A similar, parallel earthwork bank is also visible on aerial photographs of 1946 and may represent contemporary features. This is located 10m to the north and is depicted on the parish tithe map of between 1838-48 and so was not transcribed as part of this survey. The earthwork has been levelled on aerial photographs after this date.
