The earthwork is northeast to southwest aligned and is composed of two segments approximately 2.5m wide and parallel to the existing field boundaries. The boundary may form part of a medieval strip field which passed out of use by the time of the parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. The former field boundary remains visible as a slight earthwork ditch on recent aerial photos.
