A probable bomb crater is visible as a circular earthwork pit.

The crater is visible as a cropmark.

A bomb crater of Second World War date is visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s and 1950s as a circular earthwork depression or pit, approximately 15 metres in diameter, to the west of Pondfield Plantation. It is not visible as an earthwork on more recent images and has probably been infilled, but can be seen as a cropmark on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in September 2002.
