Possible former field boundaries of probable post-medieval date are revealed as earthwork banks, now obscured under West Wood, on digital images derived from Lidar survey data flown from 2001-2010. The banks might in part correspond with field boundaries depicted on the Tithe map for Newton Ferres but most do not, and probably passed out of use prior to the 1840s.
