A bomb crater of Second World War date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of the 1940s onwards at the mouth of a tributary creek on the western side of Cofflete Creek, north of Wembury Wood. The crater remains visible as a slight earthwork on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2007.

A bomb crater of Second World War date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of the 1940s onwards at the mouth of a tributary creek on the western side of Cofflete Creek, north of Wembury Wood. The crater is probably associated with the operation of an ‘N’ series bombing decoy at Worswell. The crater remains visible as a slight earthwork on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2007.
