Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2013-2014, South Devon Coast Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV351146.

A rectangular structure approximately four by two metres in size and possibly camouflaged with turf or earthwork banks is visible on aerial photographs of 1945 roughly 360 metres to the east of HMS Cambridge. The precise function of the structure is unknown but it might be of Second World War date and associated with HMS Cambridge to the west, Down Thomas Battery to the north or a possible searchlight emplacement to the east. It is not visible on any later aerial photographs available to the survey and has probably therefore been removed.
