Part of the line of this ditch can be seen on the aerial photography, although the southern (forked) end is obscured. Map object based on this source.

Natural England Volunteers, 2009-2015, Natural England Volunteer Archaeological Survey, O20 (i & ii) (Worksheet). SDV350591.

(Visited 13/01/2012) Y-shaped ditch or cutting directly above the concrete issue of Yarner Stream. 1 – 1.5 metres deep with rubble spoil cast up on the southern side. Runs for at least 40 metres in a south-westerly direction. Unknown purpose, although a site of possible ore prospecting was noted but this is directly in line with the stream issue and possibly part of the stream / water control system that is in evidence all the way down to the track across the stream. Water is issuing from partway along the ditch. Four photographs taken. Supporting photographic record held by Natural England.
