Full description
Devon and Somerset County Councils, 2000-2002, Historic Farmsteads Database, BH037.5 (Machine readable data file). SDV349681.
Old calves house. Irregular shaped calves' house built at the south end of the open fronted cowshed forming the west side of the stockyard. Its shape was apparently dictated by the nearby stream and drive. There is a 20th century brick fowl house adjacent to the calves' house. Rubble stone walls. Corrugated iron roof. Monopitch. Door/s; Timber window/s. A 2-flap door in the east wall, facing onto south end of yard. Original ledge and brace door held on strap hinges with teardrop finials. Window opening, with oak lintel, but no frame or glazing to west side and another, small unglazed opening with an internal splay to the south. Cobble floor; Feeding rack. Currently an agricultural store.
