Two circular pits are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945 as earthworks measuring 12 and 14 metres in diameter. These are consistent with an interpretation as Second World War bomb craters. By 1951 they were clearly visible as pale cropmark rings although a slight earthwork was still visible in 1965. They are not visible on any later available aerial photographs although below ground remains may survive. They are likely to be associated with other craters in the vicinity (MDV61171).
