One of a number of semi-detached houses in Parkwood Road which have been identified as 'positive', being good examples of relatively unaltered historic buildings where their style, detailing and building materials provides the streetscape with interest and variety.
West Devon Borough Council, 2009, Tavistock Conservation Area Management Plan, 24 (Report - non-specific). SDV351411.
In Tavistock, a high number of unlisted buildings in the conservation area have been assessed as making a 'positive' contribution to the special architectural or historic interest of the conservation area. Most of these date to the 19th or early 20th centuries, and include the 19th century villas of Parkwood Road. Some of these may be considered for local listing, and there will be a presumption in favour of retaining 'positve' buildings.
