1 North Street and 2 Drake Road appear to be early 19th century buildings, now shops, which survived the late 19th and early 20th century remodelling of the area. 3 North Street is a tall three storey commercial building, of stone with red brick pilasters to the front façade and red brick dressings to the window openings on the south façade. The ground floor has a plain shopfront, possibly a later addition. This building is adjacent to the former Tavistock Printing Works, built in the early 20th century.
