The former field boundaries are not depicted on the Chivelstone parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48.

Former field boundaries of potential prehistoric date are visible as a series of earthwork banks on aerial photographs from 1946 onwards and images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012 at Woodcombe Point. The boundary banks which form part of a possible prehistoric field system cover an area of approximately 2 hectares and are located towards the cliff edge on steeply east sloping ground.
