Full description

Natural England Volunteers, 2009-2015, Natural England Volunteer Archaeological Survey, P8 (Worksheet). SDV350591.

(Visited 16/04/2011) Charcoal burners’ platform in Yarner Wood at SX78362 78798. Platform has a good firm base, with no visible stones at the surface. Clearly defined, platform measures 7.1 metres by 7.1 metres and the depth at the back wall is 0.5 metres. Covered with thick leaf litter. Oak and beech trees present.
