A roughly circular pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1941, and as a cropmark on later aerial photographs to 1951. It is circa 9 metres in diameter, with some upcast around the edges and radial ‘spokes’ of material on the surface in 1941, typical of a Second World War bomb crater. The site was in cultivation from 1945 and it is likely that the earthworks have been levelled.
