Earthwork banks and pits are visible on Bolberry Down.

Earthwork mounds and small circular pits of Second World War date are visible on Bolberry Down on aerial photographs of 1945. The earthworks might be evidence of rifle range target butts and gun pits associated with RAF Bolt Tail radar station to the west. The possible butts are not visible on images taken in later years and have are either obscured by scrub vegetation or have been levelled and the pits infilled.
