Summary
A possible pillbox of Second World War date is visible on aerial photographs of the 1940 onwards as a possible structure located within a hedgebank overlooking the coast north-west of Bolberry Down. It cannot be seen on later aerial photographs and was probably removed after the war.

A possible small circular or hexagonal structure is visible.

A possible pillbox of Second World War date is visible on aerial photographs of the 1945 as a structure set into a hedgebank overlooking the coast, west of Bolberry Down. A pillbox in this location would be well situated to guard the western approach to RAF Bolt Tail radar station, with which it is probably associated. The possible pillbox cannot be seen on later aerial photographs and was probably removed following the end of the war.
