A possible former quarry is visible on aerial photographs of 1945 onwards as an earthwork pit and cropmark on the north-facing slopes overlooking Lower Aunemouth Farm. A possible former quarry is visible on aerial photographs of 1945 onwards as a subtle earthwork pit and cropmark up to 18 metres in diameter, on the north-facing slopes overlooking Lower Aunemouth Farm. The pit does not correspond with any features depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25 inch map but a quarry is shown approximately 35 metres downslope to the north. It is possible the pit is the remains of a former quarry which had passed out of use by the 1880s-1890s.
