Military structures of Second World War date are visible on aerial photographs from 1941 onwards at Beesands Cellars. The structures are first visible on aerial photographs of 1941 and comprise two nissen huts and a possible brick built structure. By 1943 a single nissen hut has been removed leaving a foundation base exposed, with the remaining two structures to the east and west still visible in 1945. By 1947 the remaining two structures have been removed, although the remnants of the possible brick building and two foundation bases are still visible. The foundation base of a former nissen hut remains visible on aerial photographs until 1976, after which the site is overgrown and not visible.
