A bomb crater of Second World War date is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as a circular earthwork pit south of Wembury, roughly six metres in diameter. The crater is one of several recorded in this area, probably attracted by the bombing decoy located approximately 600 metres to the east. The crater is not identifiable on later aerial photographs available to the survey and has probably been levelled. It is possible unexploded ordnance is located in this area.
