A bronze coin of Ptolemy 3 (246-221BC) was found on West Hill near Aylesbeare Common. In fair condition. Obverse design was head of Zeus, reverse an eagle standing on a thunderbolt. It appears to be a genuine archaeological find, not a recent loss. Of Iron Age origin.
