A possible Anti-Aircraft searchlight battery of Second World War date is visible as earthwork banks and pits on aerial photographs of 1941 onwards, to the northwest of Torcross. Two earthwork features are present. The western-most feature comprises a circular earthwork bank 9.8m in diameter, with central pit and faint traces of a semi-circular outer bank flanking its northern side. The second earthwork, which measures approximately 20m in length, is located approximately 120m to the southeast and comprises a rectangular earthwork bank, with extension on its southwest side and an internal pit. The earthwork banks and pits are visible on aerial photographs from 1941 to 1944, although by 1945 have been largely infilled. The earthworks have been completely levelled by 1951.
