Full description
Devon and Somerset County Councils, 2000-2002, Historic Farmsteads Database, BH047.4 (Machine readable data file). SDV349681.
Stable. The gable-ended, west end of bank barn range, which was originally a stable. It is now ruinous. Chert; limestone; rubble stone, brick dressed walls. Limestone rubble with some chert, and ashlar quoins. Slate roof. Tie Beam Truss. Roof has collapsed, but is likely to be the same as the bank barn BH047.3. Door/s; Loading hatch; Tallet. Originally two doorways to the front, the right one, which was lower and smaller, is now blocked and incorporates a metal window. West window, originally narrower, now has 20th century metal top tilting casement. Loft loading hatch above central door and small window opening to first floor, to east. To the rear there is a door sized opening and a window opening to the east. Hayloft. Joists rest on sturdy crossbeams. Trimmer for ladder in southwest corner. Currently disused. Ruinous, awaiting repair.
