Full description
Devon and Somerset County Councils, 2000-2002, Historic Farmsteads Database, BH049.3 (Machine readable data file). SDV349681.
Stable. Symmetrical, gable-ended stable to the north of the yard. Resident remembers when it was used for working horses. Chert; Limestone; Rubble stone walls. Limestone rubble with some chert. Roman tile roof. Double Roman tile. Roof inaccessible. Door/s; Stone windows. Central doorway with replacement 2-flap door on strap hinges. 2 metal windows to either side. Bullseye (20th Century) window above doorway. No loading hatch. Feeding rack; Hayloft; Keeping place; Tack pegs. Stubs in rear wall for feeding rack. Joist holes in wall indicate that it was once lofted. Large tack pegs. Keeping Place. Collection. Restored collection of agricultural machinery including a Lister corn-cracker, a chaff -cutter, and a root-cutter. Currently a workshop - non-agricultural. Also storage of old agricultural machinery.
