A ‘Club House’ and ancillary structure are shown to the east of the putting green on the Ordnance Survey map of 1933 (Fig. 6.8), but were not present of the map of 1905. The club house appears to have been associated with the Golf Club which had links on the Maer; the course closed in circa 1957. The building is marked as Exmouth Zoo on the Ordnance Survey map of 1965 and now forms an amusement arcade. The ancillary structure also survives. Although from the front, or south, the main building appears substantially altered, only the centre of the south elevation and a proportion of the interior (not seen) have been altered. The majority of main structural elements, including most external elevations and the roof survive. The original purpose of the ancillary building to the east is not known. Other than an extension to the east, the main fabric of the structure appears unaltered. The interior of the building has not been seen.
