Full description
Devon and Somerset County Councils, 2000-2002, Historic Farmsteads Database, BH138.3 (Machine readable data file). SDV349681.
Stable. Hayloft/tallet; stable. Later used as a calf shed. The penultimate section to the south in the main range. It was a 2-bay, lofted stable. Chert, brick dressed walls. Slate roof. King post. 2-bays. Kingpost roof, as in threshing barn and cider house. Door/s; loading hatch; timber window/s. The ledge and brace door is held in a solid, pegged frame. To the right, there is an inserted timber framed window under a concrete lintel. Below a plank loft door, which rises through the roof to a gable end, there is a second opening with a 2-flap door, which has a replacement metal lower flap and a plank upper flap. Hayloft. The loft floor has been sealed with asbestos sheets. There is a fixed ladder to the loft. Currently a cow house.
