Four former quarries of post-medieval date are visible as earthwork pits on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards and on images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the south of Fleet Mill. The quarries comprise three smaller earthwork pits, which are sub-oval in shape and measure between 28-59m in length and a larger earthwork pit from more substantial workings, which is more irregular in shape and measures approximately 173m in length. The northern-most quarry has been completely levelled by 1951, whilst the remaining quarries are visible as earthwork pits on images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012.
