Full description
Royal Air Force, 1946 - 1949, Royal Air Force Aerial Photographs (Aerial Photograph). SDV342938.
Trackway and field boundaries visible on aerial photograph. The fact that the trackway is on a different orientation to the field boundaries and appears to be cut by them suggests that it is an earlier feature. Map object based on this source.
Bunn, D., July 2013, Archaeological Geophysical Survey. Proposed Solar Farm. Land at Capelands Farm, Bratton Fleming, Devon, 5, 6, Figs. 2-7 (Report - Geophysical Survey). SDV352205.
Two relatively widely spaced linear anomalies (1 and 2) recorded on geophysical survey, possibly indicative of the flanking ditches of a former track or droveway, extending across the mid-western part of Field 1 and continuing across the north-west corner of Field 2. The northern end of the eastern of the two anomalies (2) appears also to be the continuation of another linear anomaly (3). This latter feature is parallel to the existing field boundaries implying that it is also a field boundary and that the trackway maybe relatively recent. Map object based on this source.
