A narrow linear cropmark of a negative earthwork feature is visible on aerial photographs of 2002, to the east of St Marychurch Road. The field in which the cropmark is visible is characterised by Historic Landscape Characterisation as former parkland, probably associated with Hampton House (now Abbey School) to the south-west. The cropmark might therefore be evidence of a former parkland feature of post-medieval or modern date, possibly a trackway or ride.
