Full description

Dairy with granary over. Dairy; granary. A one-bay dairy with granary above, gable-ended to the west, and built up against the earlier cider house. The dairy has a door through from the washhouse, and the granary is reached through a door opening off the rear farm track. Rubble stone, brick dressed walls. Brick arches above the window openings and red brick quoins. Corrugated iron roof. Single bay with purlins and ridgeboard. Door/s; loading hatch; metal framed windows/s; timber window/s. The dairy has a plank door opening off the washhouse in the service end of the farmhouse. There is large window with a three light casement under a brick segmental arch in the north wall and a similar one in the west end wall at ground level. The granary is accessed through a plank door in a plain, pegged frame in the south wall. In the west end wall at first floor level there is a metal top tilting casement window. The dairy has a plank door opening off the washhouse in the service end of the farmhouse. There is large window with a three light casement under a brick segmental arch in the north wall and a similar one in the west end wall at ground level. The granary is accessed through a plank door in a plain, pegged frame in the south wall. In the west end wall at first floor level there is a metal top tilting casement window. Corn bin/s. There is an axial beam supporting the granary floor, with upended joists strengthened with X braces. The dairy has a tiled floor and is whitewashed. Original timber corn bins survive in the granary. Currently disused.
