A quarry of medieval to post-medieval date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1989 onwards and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the north of Cornworthy. The quarry, which is irregular in shape and measures approximately 34m in length, appears to be defined, probably as a wooded area, on the parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48 and is only visible as an earthwork pit following tree clearance on aerial photographs of 1989. The former quarry remains visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012.
