The former groyne is visible as a structure.

A possible groyne of modern date is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the southeast of Whitestone Farm. The former groyne measures approximately 11m in length, is perpendicular to the shoreline and remains visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1989.
