The former field boundary is not depicted on the Dittisham parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48.

A former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork bank on aerial photographs of 1989 and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the southwest of Lower Dittisham. The former field boundary, which is northeast to southwest aligned and respects the historic field patterns, may form part of a medieval strip field which passed out of use by the time of the Dittisham parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48.
